Presentation Lick My Typo
26.9.2011

Santtu Mustonen will present his work and Agent Pekka in Recyclart on 5 October. Santtu joined Pekka in late 2009 shortly after exhibiting his works at Illustrative09 in Berlin. It was while working as an industrial designer that he became interested in using 3D techniques to create illustrations. Santtu creates animated computer-generated illustrations which he refers to as slightly moving images. Santtu's recent projects include an interactive piece for Adobe as well as an outdoor campaign for Helsingin Sanomat, the largest daily newspaper in the Nordic countries.
Pekka does Pecha Kucha
22.9.2011

Sanna Mander will participate in the Pecha Kucha #19 in Recyclart on 27 September. Pecha Kucha, which is Japanese for the sound of conversation (bla bla), is a series of show-and-tell evenings for designers, architects, artists and creatives, started by Klein Dytham architecture in Tokyo in 2003 and now in 396 cities worldwide.
The PechaKucha concept: each speaker has 6 minutes 40 sec. for a presentation in 20 images. Each image is on screen for only 20 seconds. No more, no less. 20 images x 20 seconds each. The presentations are a mix of speed dating, jam session and improvisation that keep the audience holding their breath. The Brussels edition is launched and organised by Alok Nandi, Architempo.
Sanna is one of Finland’s most prolific young illustrators. Her distinctive style can be seen on the pages of various publications in her home country and abroad. Sanna’s colorful, highly saturated works are inspired by garden parties and delightful disarray. Lately her output has sprawled beyond printed media and into interiors, tableware and textiles. As an illustrator and graphic designer she has won awards such as Cannes Young Creatives 2006 and Junior of the Year 2007 at the Finnish “Best of the Year” competition. Her recent work includes editorial illustrations for Casamica Magazine, a poster for the Pori Jazz 2011 festival and book covers for Australian publisher Scribe Publications.
